王生洪教授简介

王生洪,复旦大学荣休校长。复旦发展研究院院董会主席。曾任全国政协委员,中国教育国际交流协会副理事长,中国海外联谊会常务理事。

1965年毕业于上海科技大学。

1981年-1983在美国普度大学、亚里桑拿大学和德州大学访问学者。

王教授的研究范围主要是大型电子设备(射电望远镜、卫星地面站、雷达等)结构设计,计算力学以及数学优化软件库的研发。王教授的研究成果使他获得国家科技进步一等奖、上海科技进步一等奖和全国教学科研成果一等奖等多项奖项。并曾任中国电子机械学会副主任委员。

1986年被任命为上海市政府教育卫生办公室主任,并兼任上海市高教局局长。

1995年王教授被任命为上海市委统战部部长,同时担任上海市政协副主席、上海海外联谊会会长。

1999-2009,出任复旦大学第十八任校长。在担任复旦大学校长期间,王生洪教授倡导教育教学改革,推进通识教育;促进学科交叉发展,着力建立科研大平台;积极参与国际大学组织活动,推动复旦大学与海外大学的合作与交流。曾为香港特区大学教育资助委员会委员,新加坡教育部国际学术咨询组成员。曾获得美国乔治华盛顿大学校长奖章、法国里昂商学院金色联盟奖。

 

 

Professor Wang Shenghong, chairperson of the Board 

Professor Wang, president emeritus of Fudan University, the chairperson of the Board of Fudan Development Institute. He also served as member of CPPCC(the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), and was Vice President of CEAIE(China Education Association For International Exchange)and Standing director of the Chinese overseas friendship association as well.   

                         

Professor Wang graduated from Shanghai University of Science and Technology in 1965. He advanced his research at Purdue University and later at University of Arizona, and the University of Texas as a visiting scholar during 1981 to 1983. He has long been engaged in the structural design, computational mechanics and numerical optimization software development for large-scale electronic equipment including radio telescopes, satellite earth station and precision tracking radars. His research won him many awards include First Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, First Prize of National Education and Research Award, and First Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, just to name a few. Prof. Wang was elected Deputy Director of China Electro-Mechanical Engineering Association.


Professor Wang was appointed Director of the Education and Health Office and Director of the Higher Education Bureau Shanghai Municipality in 1986, responsible for development and reform planning and implementation of education in Shanghai.


In 1995, Prof. Wang was appointed Vice Chair of The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Shanghai Branch. Meanwhile, he was also Director of The United Front Work Department of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Friendship Association.


In 1999, Prof. Wang became the 18th President of Fudan University. Before he retired from the position in 2009, Prof. Wang advanced reform in teaching methodology system, implemented general education system, and promoted inter-disciplinary research mechanism and platforms.  Prof. Wang also made positive contribution to advancing international exchanges and collaboration. He was invited as member of University Grants Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (UGC HK) and member of International Academic Advisory Panel of Singapore Ministry of Education. Prof. Wang was presented with President’s Medal by George Washington University, U.S. A. and Lien d’Or by EM Lyon, France.
