Graduated in philosophy, art history and esthetics, Dr. Christophe Leclercq is a researcher in art history, esthetics and digital humanities, and teacher, working at Sciences Po (médialab) and The École du Louvre, Paris. His research is based on the relationship between art and technology, the collaboration between artists and engineers (the Experiments in Art and Technology Datascape), and on modernity and environmental issues. He has particularly acted as project manager of the ERC AIME Project (‘An Inquiry into Modes of Existence’), led by Bruno Latour from 2011 to 2015. He recently co-curated and co-edited with Bruno Latour the exhibition and catalogue Reset Modernity! (2016, ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe / MIT Press). Visiting scholar at the Fudan Faculty, he will took part of a series of workshops called Reset Modernity! from the 4th to the 7th of May 2017, at the Shanghai Himalayas Museum, concentrating on a set of issues that modernity encounters at a time of deep ecological mutation, and emphasizing a comparative perspective on Europe and China.
