Dr. Darko B. Vuković serves as the Chief Expert (Scientific Director) at the International Laboratory Research Center for Market Efficiency and Applied Finance, Graduate School of Management, Saint Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg, Russia. He specializes in teaching quantitative methods at the postgraduate level and offers finance courses at both graduate (Master in Corporate Finance, with CFA, ACCA, AMBA, AACSB accreditations) and undergraduate levels. Prof. Vukovic also holds the position of Head of the Regional Geography Department at the Geographical Institute Jovan Cvijic of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade, Serbia.

His research focuses on digital finance, financial markets, financial forecasting, the application of machine learning in finance and investment finance. Dr. Vukovic's contributions to the field have earned him multiple accolades, including the Emerald Literati Award 2021 for Outstanding Paper”, and recognition from Wiley as the author of a Top Cited Article in 2020-2021 in the journal Internet Technology Letters. In 2023, he received an award for the Top Downloaded Article from Wiley, published in the journal Software: Practice and Experience.

Dr. Vuković has published over 80 papers indexed in leading databases such as the Web of Science, Scopus, CABS (AGJ), and ABDC. His work appears in internationally reputable journals in the fields of finance and financial forecasting, including Finance Research Letters, Expert Systems with Applications, Financial Innovations, Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, Research in International Business and Finance, International Journal of Finance and Economics, and the North American Journal of Economics and Finance, among others. He is the Editor-In-Chief of the Springer book Digitalization and the Future of Financial Services, published by Springer Nature.

Prof. Vuković is an active member of the American Southern Finance Association in Jacksonville, USA, and the Southwestern Finance Association in Houston, USA.
