Dr. Kiril Tochkov is Professor at the Department of Economics at Texas Christian University. A native of Bulgaria, he studied Chinese and Economics at Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg, Germany, and at Beijing Foreign Studies University in China. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2005.Dr. Tochkov's research focuses on economic growth, regional macroeconomics, productivity, and interregional trade. He is particularly interested in the economy of China and other emerging economies in Eastern Europe and Asia.
