Shofwan Al Banna Choiruzzad is an associate professor at the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia. He also serves as the Executive Secretary of the University's ASEAN Study Center. His research interests are issues on the entanglements between political economic structures and the ecological system in the multiple scales of governance (global, regional, national, local). His works have appeared in various academic platforms, including Asia Europe Journal, Asian Perspective, East Asia Policy, Contemporary Southeast Asia, Forest Policy and Economics, Asian Politics & Policy, Indonesia, Good Governance Africa, and Global: Jurnal Politik Internasional, among others. Shofwan also co-founds Bebas Aktif Podcast and Kontekstual.com as initiatives to provide Indonesian perspectives on international affairs.
