The international system is undergoing profound transformation, often described in China as “changes unseen in a century”. As the world gradually evolves from a unipolar toward a more multipolar structure, understanding among different civilizations is becoming increasingly important. Against this backdrop, China–EU relations are entering a new phase shaped by geopolitical competition, economic restructuring, and evolving regulatory frameworks, including the EU’s recent industrial policy initiatives. This presentation examines the future trajectory of China–EU relations from a Hungarian perspective, exploring how ongoing political changes in Hungary may influence bilateral cooperation and broader China–Europe engagement.
