Abstract
The development of Artificial Intelligence (Al) in Brazil is advancing through initiatives like the National AI Strategy (Estrat é gia Brasileira de IA), public investments, and collaborations with global technology leaders. However, challenges such as talent shortages, limited infrastructure, and an immature regulatory framework persist.Recent efforts, like the proposed AI Governance Bill (Marco Legal da IA),aim to establish ethical and transparent Al governance. China emerges as a strategic partner for Brazil, given their history of collaboration in ST&l, as exemplified by the CBERS satellite program, and ongoing Al partnerships, including a joint agricultural Al lab.Opportunities include technology transfer, research projects, and exchange programs focused on sustainable development and ethical governance.By enhancing domestic capabilities and deepening collaboration with China, Brazil can strengthen its technological ecosystem, address global challenges, and promote inclusive, ethical Al on the international stage.
