The paper focuses on the interactive logic between geo-technology and geopolitics underlying the United States' science and technology competition policy toward China.
The second paper written by Dr. Xu YAO, Associate Professor of Fudan Development Instittue and invited researcher at the Shanghai Data Research Institute, is titled EU Artificial Intelligence Legislation: Cooperation and Competition with the US. It primarily examines the regulatory and market dynamics of cooperation and competition between the U.S. and Europe in the era of artificial intelligence.
These papers are based on research and discussions presented at the international conference The Economic Impact of Emerging Technologies, organized by MCC in Budapest on November 21, 2023. The conference gathered dozens of policymakers and scholars from various countries and regions worldwide to engage in in-depth exchanges regarding the development of the digital technology industry and shifts in the geopolitical environment. Dr. Tianjiao JIANG and Dr. Xu YAO were invited as speakers at the event.
