Scholar | Sol Mora
Sol Mora is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at the School of Politics and Government of the National University of San Martin, Argentina (EPyG/ UNSAM) and a Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina (CONICET). She holds a PhD in Social Sciences (FLACSO-Argentina) and a Master’s Degree in International Cooperation and Integration (CERIR-UNR).
Her research interests include China’s infrastructure projects, land governance, food systems and socio-environmental dynamics. Her doctoral research focused on Chinese investments and financing in infrastructure and agriculture in Argentina, and on land governance. In this line, she has studied the power relations around land in Argentina that influence and shape China’s projects. She has also explored the environmental and food security debates surrounding these initiatives. She is currently expanding her research to understand the impact of Chinese investments and finance on the global food system, focusing on China-Argentina relations. Her research lies at the intersection of International Political Economy, Agrarian Studies and Political Ecology.
Dr. Sol Mora will be a visiting researcher at FDDI from April 7 to June 19, 2025.
