Anna Shulgat is a curator of Chinese porcelain and other artefacts at the Oranienbaum branch of Peterhof Museum,and a member of the Society of International Ceramic Studies(headquartered in Jingdezhen).She research focuses on the history of the collection of Chinese handicrafts in Russia during the Ming and Qing dynasties, the development of the Chinoiserie style in Russia from the 18th to the 19th century, and the influence of Chinese art on the development of Russian art from the 18th to the 19th century.She has published a total of ten papers in Russian, German, and English. Currently, Anna is presiding over the cataloging work of the Chinese porcelain collection in the Peterhof Museum,and has already compiled a catalogue of the collection of Chinese folk woodblock prints in the Peterhof Museum, now awaiting publication.


Anna Shulgat will be a visiting researcher at ICSCC from January to July, 2025.
