Jenny Huangfu Day  is a Professor of History and the Francis Young Tang '61 Chair in China Studies at Skidmore College. She received her BA from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington and her PhD in History from the University of California San Diego. Her primary research interests include the history of modern Sino-foreign relations, Sino-Western cultural exchanges, and the history of international law. 


She has published the monograph Qing Travelers to the Far West: Diplomacy and the Information Order in Late Imperial China (Cambridge University Press, 2018), which has also been translated into Chinese as Zouru Taixi de lüzhe: wan Qing waijiao yu xinxi zhixu (Shanghai People's Publishing House, 2024). She has also edited and published Wanqing zhu Ying shiguan zhaohui dang'an (Letters from the Qing Legation in London) (Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House, 2020).
