On June 5, 2025, Beijing hosted the second session of the China–U.S. High-Level Track II Dialogue. The meeting opened under the co-chairmanship of Chao WANG, President of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, and Evan Greenberg, Executive Vice Chair of the National Committee on U.S.–China Relations, with both sides deliberating strategic, security and economic-trade issues.
Professor Xinbo WU, Dean of Fudan University's Institute of International Studies, Director of its Center for American Studies and Vice Dean of the Fudan Development Institute, joined the Chinese delegation by invitation. Other members of the Chinese side included former Executive Deputy Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee Yuanping QIU; Tiankai CUI, Advisor to the Council of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs and former Ambassador to the United States; Min ZHU, former Deputy Governor of the People's Bank of China; Xinghai FANG, former Vice Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission; Yiming WANG, former Deputy Director of the Development Research Center of the State Council; Qin YAO, former Deputy Director of the Office for International Military Cooperation of the Central Military Commission; Xiaoli ZHOU, Vice President of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs; and Shimo LI, Chairman of Chengwei Capital and founder of The Observer and Beijing Dialogue.
Later that day, Vice President Zheng HAN met with the U.S. delegation.
