The Yangtze River Delta University Think Tank Alliance is a national coalition of university-affiliated think tanks committed to perform research and advocacy for the national strategy of bolstering the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.

Initiated by Fudan University, the alliance was announced in September, 2019, by 5 co-founders, namely, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University, Zhejiang University, and University of Science and Technology of China. The membership of the alliance is open to think tanks inside and outside the Yangtze River Delta. And the founding members of the alliance include the Integrated Development Institute of Yangtze Delta (Fudan University), the Yangtze River Delta Research Institute (Shanghai Jiao Tong University), the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Research Center (Zhejiang University), the Yangtze River Delta Economic and Social Development Research Center (Nanjing University), and the Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology Research Center (University of China University of Science and Technology). 

The members of the alliance share a sense of responsibility, aiming to mobilize talents, expertise, and resources on a global scale, so as to promote collaborative researches, complement one another, expand talent pool, and eventually develop an integrated group that represents leading think tanks in the field. 

The alliance will remain devoted to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta through innovative cooperation mechanisms, various academic events, and multi-disciplinary studies.
