The 2025 Shanghai Summer School (BRICS Program) was successfully held

From June 30 to July 25, the 2025 Shanghai Summer School (BRICS Program), established by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and hosted by the Center for BRICS Studies, Fudan University, was successfully held. As one of the flagship programms for for higher education cooperation among BRICS countries, this year's program received 400 applications, ultimately admitting 35 students: 10 from Brazil, 6 from Russia, 2 from India, 2 from South Africa, 4 from China, 2 from Egypt, 1 from Iran, 2 from Indonesia, and 6 students from non-BRICS countries. Participants exhibited diverse academic backgrounds. As the organizing t institution, the Center for BRICS Studies carefully designed three core modules:Global Governance and Cooperation among BRICS, China’s Politics and Diplomacy and Happy in Shanghai. These comprised 14 academic courses delivered by professors and experts from BRICS universities and think tanks, providing students with internationalized, cutting-edge educational resources and scholarly perspectives. In addition to academic seminars, a series of cultural activities were organized, enabling students from different countries to gain an in-depth experience of the richness and diversity of Chinese culture.
