Léon-Marie Nkolo Ndjodo, 46 years old, is Associate Professor at the University of Maroua in Cameroon. He holds a doctorate in philosophy (UYI) and a Master's degree in comparative education obtained from Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU). He is a member of the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute For Global South and China-Africa Studies (Yaoundé), of the Center for the Study of Francophone African Countries of the Institute of African Studies of ZJNU, and of the Youth Research Group of the Global Think Tank Network for Democracy Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). 


His research mainly focuses on postmodernism, postcolonialism, philosophies of globalization, epistemology of social sciences, the governance of contemporary China, China's higher education system, marxism and Xi Jinping Thought, Global South studies. He has conducted numerous research and study trips to the China-Africa Institute (CAI) and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). He participated in the 14th World Socialism Forum (Beijing, 2024) and the Symposium on the Global Impact of Chinese Modernization (Tongren University, 2024). 


He has to his credit a book and several scientific articles on China-Africa cooperation and Chinese modernization. A scholarship holder from the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of the People’s Republic of China between 2017 and 2019, he has won numerous excellence awards like the Outstanding Award for Academic Innovation and the Award of Best Thesis of Comparative Education Program at ZJNU. He is currently the Coordinator of the Philosophy, Psychology and Education Sciences Section of the Doctoral Training Unit for Human and Social Sciences at the University of Maroua.


Prof. Léon-Marie Nkolo Ndjodo will be a visiting scholar at FDDI from November 1 to December 1, 2025.
