On November 6, leveraging the spillover effects of the China International Import Expo, the fourth Fudan–Magnolia Forum—jointly hosted by Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Sinar Mas and the Fudan Development Institute (FDDI)—was held during the China International Import Expo. The forum, themed “Five Years Along the Carbon Path: Benevolent Coexistence in Green Transformation,” also featured the release of APP’s “30·60” Green Achievements. Jingli ZHAI, Vice President of APP, shared three key reflections, beginning with the idea of taking “benevolence” as the core value premise. Yi ZHANG, Executive Director of the Fudan Development Institute, noted that this year’s forum would open up broader space for dialogue and cooperation in the field of green transition. During the roundtable session, Jingli ZHAI was joined by Wei ZHAO, Chair of the China Paper Association; Chunyu CAO, Chair of the China Technical Association of the Paper Industry; Dewen MEI, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Green Exchange; Jinquan WAN, Professor at South China University of Technology; and Aico Sipriano NOGUEIRA, Researcher in the Department of Sociology at the University of São Paulo. The panel engaged in an in-depth discussion on advancing “high-quality decarbonization” in the paper industry, recognizing APP’s leadership in driving the sector’s green and low-carbon transformation. The experts also offered recommendations to support sustainable and low-carbon development across both the paper industry and the broader national context.
