A total of 35 representatives from member universities attended the meeting and engaged in in-depth discussions on key issues, including the consortium’s annual work progress and the development of future institutional mechanisms, with a view to jointly advancing high-quality cooperation within the consortium.

On behalf of the Consortium Secretariat, Hao HUANG, Vice Dean of the Institute of Development Studies at Fudan University, presented the 2025 Annual Work Report, systematically reviewing the consortium’s major achievements over the past year in areas such as research collaboration, scholar exchanges, and research outputs, and outlining priorities for the next stage of work.

The meeting confirmed that, starting in 2026, the University of São Paulo (Brazil), Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and the National Autonomous University of Mexico will successively serve as the consortium’s rotating annual chair and host the corresponding annual conferences.
