Theoretical insights associated with the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences jointly underscore that sustained economic growth stems from “creative destruction,” with firms serving as the core micro-level agents driving this process. To forge deeper connections with leading talent in the field of innovation, build a national hub for research on corporate technological innovation, and provide cross-disciplinary intellectual support for the commercial success of Chinese enterprises, the “2025 Corporate Innovation Strategy Seminar,” hosted by the Center for Technology Innovation Strategy Research at the Fudan Institute for Development Studies, was held on December 2 at the Fudan University Think Tank Building.

The seminar brought together renowned scholars from top domestic universities, alongside representative entrepreneurs, seasoned investors, and innovation practitioners. Discussions combined cutting-edge theoretical insights with in-depth analyses of real-world corporate cases. Professor Zhang Yi, Executive Dean of the Fudan Institute for Development Studies; Professor Xu Wenwei of the Center for Technology Innovation Strategy Research; and Huang Hao, Vice Dean of the Fudan Institute for Development Studies, attended the event and delivered opening remarks. The three experts noted that, centered on the theme of “creative destruction,” the seminar aimed to further distill the underlying patterns of corporate innovation and refine innovation theory.
