OVERVIEW

Fudan Development Institute (FDDI) welcomes qualified scholars from outside China to apply for its Online Visiting Scholar Program.

Eligibility

1. Applicants are required to hold a faculty position at a recognized university or an established research institute outside China.

2. The research fields of applicants include but are not limited to political science, sociology, economics, environment, public health, etc.

Application Materials

3. High resolution picture of the applicant (JPEG or PNG)

4.  Research proposal (minimum of 2 pages)

5. One recommendation letter from experts in the field or the director at your institution.

Applying Process

Please submit all your application materials to us before Dec 31th, 2021. It will take about three weeks to review your materials.

Responsibility

1. Making at least one lecture/webinar on the research topic, and inviting at least one Fudan faculty member to host and participate in the discussion.The presentation is required to be accomplished from Sep.15th,2021, to Jan 15th, 2022.

2. Publishing at least one working paper in high-level academic journals and add ‘Fudan Development Institute, Fudan University’ in the affiliations. Applicants are required to submit the working paper to the journal before Jun 31st, 2022 ,and publish the research paper before Dec 31st, 2022 to get the honorarium.

3. Participating the publishing plans of FDDI or its media partners, or other Chinese media. Applicants are required to add ‘Fudan Development Institute, Fudan University’ in the affiliations.

Notes: Selected reports, articles, and essays that the online Visiting Scholars submit to FDDI will be recommended to FDDI publishing partners. Please ensure that the reports, articles, and essays submitted do not cause any copyright conflicts.

FDDI will provide financial support when the Online Visiting Scholars accomplish each of the following responsibility:

Note: FDDI media partner projects refer to projects under FDDI media partner cooperation framework. In such projects, online visiting scholars receive call for paper information from FDDI, and submit their works to FDDI.
