The Seminar on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence: Trends, Challenges, and Responses was successfully held

The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology is profoundly reshaping the global economic landscape, social structures, and governance systems. Simultaneously, a series of challenges, including ethical controversies, data privacy concerns, algorithmic biases, the AI divide, and fragmented governance, have become increasingly prominent, posing unprecedented challenges to traditional governance models. 


On December 28,2025, the seminar Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence: Trends, Challenges, and Responses was grandly held in Room 106 of Fudan University's Think Tank Building. Organized by the Center for Global AI Innovative Governance and hosted by Fudan Development Institute, with support from the Shanghai Association for Artificial Intelligence and Social Development and the Shanghai Research Center for Social Science Development, the event gathered over 30 experts and scholars from Fudan University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, and renowned academic journals. During the conference, participants delivered specialized presentations and engaged in in-depth discussions on emerging trends, developmental challenges, and North-South cooperation in global AI governance, contributing to the advancement of related research and practical improvements.
