On January 21, 2026, a signing ceremony for the collaboration between Fudan University's School of Intelligent Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing and the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge China National Committee was held at the Handan Campus. According to the memorandum, the School will serve as the co-organizer for the 2025-2026 cycle of the United Nations' Robotics for Good Youth Challenge in China, jointly promoting the popularization, education, and ethically sound development of artificial intelligence and robotics technology among young people.

This partnership signifies an important collaboration between a Chinese university and an international initiative in the fields of youth technology education and AI ethics. Leveraging Fudan University's academic strengths in AI and robotics, combined with the international platform resources of the Organizing Committee, both parties will jointly build a youth robotics innovation platform that integrates learning, practice, and competition. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between basic and higher education, thereby supporting the systematic cultivation of China's AI talent pipeline.

Dr. Xu YAO, Secretary-General of the Center for Global AI Innovative Governance and Associate Research Fellow at Fudan University's Development Institute, delivered a speech as a special guest. He emphasized, In today's era of rapid AI development, to bridge the intelligence divide, strengthen capacity building, and jointly build an inclusive and intelligent new world, it is crucial to cultivate correct technological values and governance thinking from the youth stage. This cooperation is a vivid manifestation of 'governance leading innovation, education shaping the future,' and we anticipate it will have a leading and exemplary effect. The Center for Global AI Innovative Governance, as a co-organizer of the event, will provide further support.
