Jiakuan Chen, born in 1947, doctor, professor.




He studied in the Department of biology of Fudan University from 1965 to 1970, majoring in botany. From 1979 to 1987, he worked as a graduate student in the Department of biology of Wuhan University. He obtained a master's degree in 1982 and a doctor's degree in 1987. From 1982 to 1997, he was teaching in the plant classification research office of Wuhan University, successively as an assistant professor, lecturer, associate professor (1987), Professor (1991), deputy director of the Department (1987) and vice president of the Graduate School (1988-1997), engaged in the research of systematic and evolutionary botany, conservation biology and wetland ecology; from 1997 to now, he is a professor and director of the Institute of biodiversity of Fudan University (1997-1997) -2007), engaged in biodiversity science, nature reserve and wetland ecology research.




Research interests: Biodiversity Science, conservation biology, wetland ecology, system and evolutionary biology, and genetic diversity of wild relatives of crops.
