Jianxiong Ge, whose ancestral home is Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, was born in December 1945 in Nanxun Town, Wuxing County, Zhejiang Province. Professor and doctoral supervisor of Institute of history and geography of Fudan University, director of Fudan University Library, member of Fudan University Academic Committee and deputy director of human and cultural sub committee, and member of Academic Standard Committee of Fudan University.
