From January 30 to 31, 2026, the 20th Annual Conference of the Shanghai-Hong Kong Development Institute (SHDI), co-hosted by Fudan University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, was successfully held at CUHK. Centered on the theme “Reconfiguration of Globalization and China’s Development,” this conference marked the first in-person academic event since the pandemic. The gathering brought together over 30 scholars and industry representatives from various countries and regions around the world. Participating institutions included renowned universities such as the University of Chicago, Western University (formerly the University of Western Ontario), the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Hosei University, NIILM University, NYU Shanghai, Hong Kong Baptist University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Fudan University, and Nanjing University. Attendees presented their latest research findings related to the conference theme and engaged in in-depth academic exchanges and discussions.
