朱民先生 国际货币基金组织(IMF)副总裁

 

朱民先生简介

1952年出生于上海,国际货币基金组织(IMF)副总裁,中国人民银行前副行长,约翰斯·霍普金斯大学经济学博士,复旦大学杰出校友。

朱民博士1982年毕业于复旦大学经济系。

1982年至1985年,在复旦大学经济系任教。

1985年至1990年,赴美留学,获美国普林斯顿大学公共行政管理硕士学位、美国约翰斯·霍普金斯大学经济学硕士学位和经济学博士学位。

1990年至1991年,任美国约翰斯·霍布金斯大学政策研究所副研究员。

1990年至1996年,任世界银行政策局经济学家(顾问)。

1995年至1996年,任联合国开发署“中国21世纪议程”首席顾问。

1996年至2005年,先后任中国银行行长经济顾问、中银国际控股公司董事、中国银行国际金融研究所总经理、中国银行中银香港重组上市办公室总经理、中国银行重组上市办公室总经理。

2003年至2009年,先后任中国银行行长助理、副行长。

2009年10月,任中国人民银行党委委员、副行长。

2010年2月24日,国际货币基金组织总裁卡恩任命朱民博士担任其特别顾问。

2011年7月26日,朱民正式出任国际货币基金组织副总裁职位。成为史上首位进入IMF高层的华人。

2014年,朱民入围2014年度华人经济领袖。

朱民博士是世界经济论坛董事会董事、普林斯顿大学校董、复旦大学荣誉校董和芝加哥大学商学院全球指导委员会委员。


Former Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)


Dr. Zhu Min, born in Shanghai in 1952, he received a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, an M.P.A. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, and a B.A. in Economics from Fudan University.


Dr. Zhu has taught economics at both Johns Hopkins University and Fudan University. From 1990 to 1996, he worked at the World Bank as a consultant, during which time he served as a Chief Technical Advisor of "China's Agenda 21", United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). 


Until 2005, Dr. Zhu has held various positions at the Bank of China where he served as Group Executive Vice President. Prior to his service at IMF, Dr. Zhu was Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China. 


On February 24, 2010, Mr. Kahn, then Managing Director of IMF, appointed Zhu as his Special Adviser. On July 13, 2011, IMF Managing Director Lagarde formally nominated him as a Deputy Managing Director. Dr. Zhu has been serving the IMF as a Deputy Director since July 26, 2011.
