In the newly published article “10 key news words for Fudan in 2012”, we find a description like this: Fudan University has successfully held many high-level International academic forums like "2012 Shanghai Forum" and "Fudan Development Forum”. Short as this description is, it serves as a best statement for the achievement Fudan Development Institute (hereafter referred to as FDDI) had reached in the past 2012. FDDI has always stick to the aim of the building an Internationalized think tank. A review of 2012 reveals before us a prosperous and fast development of FDDI.

Internationally oriented and academically founded, FDDI has established two major forum monuments for Fudan University: Shanghai Forum and Fudan Development Forum. In the past “2012 Shanghai Forum”, eminent domestic and foreign scholars in the field of politics and business like Paul Volcker、James Steinberg、Adam Przeworski、Carlo Carraro and Zhu Ming had got together with Chinese leaders like Han Zheng、Hao Ping、Long yongtu and etc. More than 500 representatives had attended the forum while 18 media had reported about this event. Beside of this forum, FDDI had also held “Symposium for International Management of Golden Brick Countries”、”Research Field and Method for Modern China”、”Cooperation and Diplomacy between Golden Brick Countries”、”The Influence on Domestic Development and Foreign Relations in the Leadership Transition” and other valuable academic symposiums which had made the past 2012 a fruitful and eventful year for FDDI.

The New Year 2013 is coming, and FDDI is ready to start a brand new beginning.
