On April 18th 2014, The Insurance Institute of China (IIC) held a general work meeting in Beijing, where the CISSRC was officially accepted as a member of the IIC council. Chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC), Mr. Xiang Junbo, and vice Chairman Mr. Zhou Yanli attended the conference. In total, over 300 delegates were present at the conference, representing the insurance industry, universities, academic entities, as well as heads of concerned departments at the CIRC.
After elections at the 9th Congress and its first Council Meeting, CISSRC academic committee member, Prof. Xu Wenhu, was
elected member of the IIC permanent council, and CISSRC director, Dr. Xu Xian, was elected to the IIC council. With support from the IIC, the CISSRC will continue contributing to the development of insurance studies in China and assist with policy advice.
