GGF is bringing together young professionals to look ahead 10 years, to the year 2027, and recommend ways to address key global challenges. Building on the success of the first three rounds of the program – Global Governance 2020, 2022 and 2025 – the next round, GGF 2027, will assemble 25 individuals from China, Germany, India, Japan and the United States (five from each country) to form three working groups that focus on either data governance, global health or transnational terrorism. Over the course of 2016 and 2017, during four dialogue sessions that take place in the five participating countries, the working groups will produce scenarios toward 2027 and recommend ways to address these global challenges.
The four dialogue sessions (each five to eight days) will take place in Washington, DC (May 8 – 12, 2016), Tokyo & Beijing (September 2016), New Delhi (January 2017) and Berlin (May 2017).
The GGF program presents a unique opportunity for young leaders to participate in international policy dialogues, train in futures research and form a lasting network that transcends national and professional boundaries. In order to attract the most capable young leaders from different sectors, we are distributing the call for applications among the private sector, government, academia, think tanks and NGOs.
You will find the application and the requirements on the GGF program website. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at ggfutures@gppi.net.
GGF is jointly implemented by the Global Public Policy Institute, the Hertie School of Governance, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, the Tokyo Foundation, Keio University, the Centre for Policy Research, Ashoka University, the Brookings Institution and Princeton University. GGF is generously supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
