OnDecember 9, representatives from Qualcomm visited Fudan Development Instituteand had a meeting with delegates from Fudan University. Other attendees includeChen Yinzhang, General Secretary of FDDI; Zheng Lirong, Dean of School of InformationScience and Technology; Zhang Yi, Vice Dean of FDDI; Fan Lizhu, Professor of Schoolof Social Development and Public Policy; Wang Anhua, Deputy Secretary, StudentUnion. At the meeting, participants discussed the Qualcomm Roundtable inShanghai Forum 2016 and further cooperation between Qualcomm and FDDI.
JasonKenagy, Vice President of Qualcomm, indicated that Qualcomm pays greatattention to innovation, especially in the market of Asia and China. TheQualcomm Roundtable in Shanghai Forum 2016 is intended to discuss theinnovation issue from varied perspectives.
Co-hosted byFudan University and Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies, undertaken by FudanDevelopment Institute (FDDI), Shanghai Forum is an international platform formulti-sided communication amongst academic, political, commercial, and presscircles. Founded in 2005, the forum has celebrated its tenth anniversary in2015. Shanghai Forum 2016 will be held from May 28 to May 30, 2016 in Shanghai.The theme is “Economic Globalization and Asia's Choice –Interconnectivity,Integration and Innovation: Building Community of Common Destiny in Asia”.
It is the first timethat Shanghai Forum opens its application to the world. Till October, about 50applications from 13 nations have been received. The applicants are from avariety of organizations including universities, think tanks, media andenterprises.
