Susanne My Giang is a PhD candidate at Institute of Political Science at the University of Hamburg, Germany. Her main research focus on transformation processes of energy systems as well as environmental-, energy and climate policy in Southeast Asia. She has studied Political Science and Southeast Asia Studies at the University of Hamburg. After finishing her studies, she worked at the Centre d'Études et de Recherches Internationales (CERI) at Sciences Po University in Paris (2011/2012). Following her stay in France she spent a year as visiting fellow at the Department of Political Science and the Center for International Climate and Energy Policy (CICEP) at the University of Oslo, Norway (2012 - 2013). As part of her research she stayed also for several months at the Institute for European Studies Hanoi (Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences) and the National University Hanoi in Vietnam (2014 and 2015). Furthermore, she was for two months a guest researcher at the University of Heidelberg (2016).
