MNB Summer School of Economics 2018

 

The Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB) -  Central Bank of Hungary, with cooperation of the MNB department of the Corvinus University of Budapest is organizing the Summer School of Economics 2018, which title is  "CEE region in the changing world: challenges and opportunities in finance and geopolitics".

The aim of the program is to create an interactive summer school, where the international and Hungarian participants have the chance to get to know the economic and geopolitical challenges and possibilities of the Central-Eastern European region and Hungary with help and cooperation of MNB experts and highly qualified  lecturers and partners.

 

 The professional program of the Summer School of Economics 2018 consists two subjects:

  • "Digitalization in Finance" is about technological innovation and future use of virtual currencies, as well as their risks involved, and the possibility of introducing digital money by the central bank.

  • "Competitiveness in the CEE region: Opportunities and challenges" presents the nine global megatrends and the economic and geopolitical challenges of the CEE region in the transforming world order and also the possible outbreak points of the Hungarian economy and  its new growth structure.

Date: 14-27 July 2018

Venue:  Pallas Athene Educational Center, Döbrentei street 2, Budapest, H-1013

Scheduled number of participants: 30-35 person

             

The participants earn ECTS credits for the completion of the program.

 

Tuition fee: until 1st June 1450 EUR, after 1st June  1550 EUR;

The fee includes:

  • Accommodation,

  • Public transportation in Budapest,

  • Welcome package,

  • Educational materials related to the program,

  • Cultural and company visits,

  • Health insurance.

 

An optional  leisure program will be organized on the weekend of the summer school (20-21 July). The fee of the optional program is not included in the tuition fee.  

Further information concerning the weekend program will be provided in May.
