Center and Edge·Differences and Identification·Dispersion and Polymerization

--Ge Zhaoguang, Senior Adviser of FDDI

In the research of history and culture, center and edge is not originally fixed; “Identification” in culture and customs cannot replace political identity, so political self consciousness drifts Vietnam, Japan and Korea away from China; Frankly speaking, despite the emphasis on “relationship”, there is not necessarily a perfect writing mode in global history now, which can include various consanguineous, political, economic and cultural “relationship” to weave a both dense and vivid network of history. Political history that emphasizes on national borders and cultural history that emphasizes beyond the borders seem hard to form a common writing mode.
