Associate Professor

Dr. Xiaoxin Du is an Associate Professor at Fudan Development Institute, Fudan University. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Department of Political Science from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University in 2008 and 2012, respectively, and earned her Ph.D. in Education from the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong in 2017. Dr. Du Xiaoxin started her post as an Assistant Professor at Fudan Development Institute in 2020.

Prior to joining Fudan Development Institute, Dr. Du served as a Post‑doctoral Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Educational Policy Research, East China Normal University from 2017 to 2020. In school year 2023-2024, she was a visiting scholar at the University of Strathclyde.

Dr. Du’s research interests lie at the intersection of higher education policy, academic mobility, youth studies, political socialization in universities, and citizenship education. Her recent work extends to sustainability education and citizenship cultivation in higher education, as well as policy‑oriented research on youth employment trends and public library services for children. Dr. Du currently teaches the course Contemporary Chinese Education and Social Development, with Prof. Liu Hong and Dr. Fang Shixin.
