The Fudan-European Centre for China Studies announces the FECCS Small Grants!
About the grants
FECCS seeks to support researchers working on China-related topics from Chinese and European universities to build up research network, to produce high-quality research in collaboration with Fudan University scholars, or to undertake fieldwork as part of their higher degree in relevant subject areas.
This small grant supports all studies within academic disciplines and cooperation related to China, especially those falling in the research focal points of FECCS(https://www.hf.uio.no/ikos/english/research/center/feccs/research/). It aims to generate value and rigor to the research process, from conceptualization to publication. Proofreading and editing, travel and fieldwork-related expenses are examples of the types of activities that may be relevant. For research assistance, due to formal requirements, the request may be granted on a strictly case-by-case basis.
We encourage early-career scholars to apply. Applicants from Fudan University and Nordic universities will be prioritised.
After the research has been concluded, grant recipients should be prepared to present their results in the form of a seminar on the topic, as well as in writing as either a working paper or field research report.
Funding scale: up to 50,000 NOK per project/researcher.
Project/activity duration: Up to 12 months.
The scheme has an open-ended deadline.
