摘要 Abstract

During the Lula government (2003–2010), Brazil   combined economic growth, income distribution, and poverty reduction. In this   period, economic growth was mainly driven by an increase in domestic demand,   through a combination of social policies and public investments in a   favorable international scenario. However, from 2011 to 2014, Brazil entered   in a slowdown phase and, since 2015, austerity and other neoliberal measures   helped to push Brazil into one of the worst economic crisis in history. Thus,   this presentation will seek to describe this economic process highlighting   the limitations of the Brazilian growth model and the macroeconomic policies   decisions.
