摘要 Abstract

The European Union obviously meets the objectives of peace and prosperity. It is built not only on a shared political will and a relative political cohesion between its members, symbolized by a flag and a hymn, but also on a solid institutional base, with well-established, effective in terms of legislative production, sustainable over time and internationally recognized institutions.

It suffers, however, from many crises. These, be they of a structural or cyclical nature, will have to be overcome to guarantee prospects for what we call the "old continent".

The following crises will be analyzed:

– the trauma of Brexit;

– Europe, diplomatic dwarf?

– the explosive file of migrants;

– an economically unbalanced zone;

– unfortunate tax and social competition;

– a threatening rise of populisms;

– the power struggle for 2019;

– the existential question of enlargement.
