    摘要Abstract

    There is a broad consensus among Latin American analysts about the decisive role played by the United States in the region and the importance of national autonomy.


    The doctrine of autonomy and concepts like “great peripheral states” express the relation strategies used to justify integration processes and foreign policy decisions among Latin American countries.


    In order to understand the difficulties and inconsistencies present in understanding Latin American foreign policies, “cycles” must be characterized. The aim of this Seminar is to present relevant aspects that define the current situation of international relations in Latin American countries.
