Kevin Bockholt（柏科文）现任埃尔朗根-纽伦堡大学汉学系研究员。他先后获得杜伊斯堡-埃森大学东亚研究硕士文凭与汉堡大学国际汉学硕士学位，并完成了汉堡大学中国在欧洲，欧洲在中国博士培养项目。其课题聚焦于研究1914至1919年间中国对第一次世界大战报道的情况与主要特点，追溯了一战期间战争信息传入中国的内容与途径，阐释了当时战争相关的新闻素材的公布与讨论形式，揭示了参与战争报道的中外各方力量组成。

攻读博士期间，他曾在复旦大学与中山大学进行访学研究。目前他在埃尔朗根-纽伦堡大学参与以中国书写历史项目，重点探究中国史学家如何重新建构与诠释中外互动模式及动态关系。

Kevin Bockholt博士将于2025年10月20日至11月19日在复旦发展研究院从事访问研究工作。

Kevin Bockholt is a researcher at the Sinology department at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.

He received a diploma in East Asian Studies from Universität Duisburg-Essen and completed his Master’s studies in International Sinology at Universität Hamburg. His Ph.D. thesis, undertaken within the graduate school “China in Europe, Europe in China”at Hamburg University, examines the circumstances and main characteristics of the Chinese reporting on the First World War between 1914 and 1919. It retraces how and what kind of war information reached China, illustrates the way in which war-related materials were publicly presented and discussed, and reveals the plurality of actors – both foreign and Chinese – that were involved in the coverage of the war.

During this time, he conducted extended research stays at Fudan University in Shanghai and Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou. Currently, as part of the “Writing History with China” project at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, his primary focus is exploring how Chinese historians conceptualize and reinterpret modes and dynamics of Sino-foreign interactions.

Dr. Kevin Bockholt will be a visiting scholar at FDDI from October 20 to November 19, 2025.
