摘要 Abstract
We propose to examine the key role of the national bourgeoisie in the prodigious economic rise of contemporary China, that of the new democracy, and the potential significance of such an involvement for Africa today confronted with neoliberal Structural Adjustment Programs. As the driving force of national development, we will deal with the question of the national bourgeoisie in the light not only of Mao Zedong Thought, but also of Deng Xiaoping's Theory and Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics of the New Era. This treatment of the case of the Chinese case will call for substantial remarks on national development in Africa, a continent in which liberal and socialist options have clashed, with, in the case of socialism, a fundamental schism between African socialism and scientific socialism. As the new centre of global historical development, the Global South presents itself as the resolution of this contradiction by reviving the spirit of Bandung, the cornerstone of Afro-Asian solidarity recently taken up by the Chinese proposal for a joint modernization of China and Africa.
