摘  要 / Abstract

This presentation examines the growing global connections between supreme and constitutional courts, focusing on how judicial institutions engage in international cooperation, dialogue, and knowledge diffusion. Using the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court (STF) as a case study, it explores the Court’s expanding participation in transnational judicial networks, comparative jurisprudence, and institutional diplomacy. The talk discusses concrete mechanisms (such as bilateral cooperation agreements, participation in global judicial forums, and the exchange of jurisprudential data) that foster mutual learning and strengthen the rule of law. By analyzing the STF’s experience, the presentation shows how courts increasingly operate as global actors when facing contemporary challenges, such as access to new technologies, environmental protection, and other relevant issues.
