This seminar examines a decade's worth of scholarly articles, revealing the changing perspectives and highlighting both the advancements and the existing gaps in understanding the multifaceted nature of Brazil’s and Latin America’s interactions with China. Between 2011 and 2022, the dynamics of Brazil-China relations evolved significantly. Initially, discussions were anchored in Brazil's foreign policy and the challenges of exporting commodities to China. As the years progressed, the focus shifted towards China's industrial, financial, and technological growth and its expanding role in Latin America. In the later years, the research delved into broader economic and social issues, such as tax policies and international standardization.
