The Center for Data and Research on Contemporary Social Life (CDRCSL), founded in 2011, attempts to collect and sort the social life materials since the establishment of People’s Republic of China in 1949, in order to preserve and study the historical memory of contemporary China. After ten years’ efforts, the CDRCSL has collected more than 300 batches of materials about social life from different provinces. And this vast and varied collection now ranks top among similar institutions.
